Community Kids Bible School

There will be a Community Vacation Bible School offered by area churches at the Anaconda Boys & Girls Club site on Tuesday, June 18-Thursday, June 20. Hours are 8:00 am through 12 pm. All children who are 3 years old or older up to those who have completed fifth grade are welcome, and older children and teens are needed as helpers. A free breakfast and lunch are available onsite to all children and teens through the summer children''s feeding program.

Wild Flower Tour of Vipond Park

The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the Montana Native Plant Society are teaming up to host a wildflower tour of Vipond (VIE-pond) Park on Sunday, June 23rd starting at 9am. The free tour will ascend the Quartz Hill Road and pass thru several historic mine sites before reaching Vipond Park. The park is a subalpine meadow that supports a diverse array of flowering plants.

Oredigger Boys Basketball Camp

Come and join the Montana Tech Orediggers for the Oredigger Boys Basketball Camp June 10-13 for ages 10-14 and June 24-27 for ages 5-9. Camp will be held Monday through Thursday from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Each camper will be divided into teams by age and ability for maximum participation and enjoyment.

Cost for camp will be $80.00 with registration and check turned in by June 3rd for ages 10-14 and June 19th for ages 5-9. (Late registrations will be accepted with an additional $10.00 fee)Registration will begin at 8:00am on June 10th for ages 10-14 and 8:00am on June 24th for ages 5-9.

Butte Silver Bow Relay for Life

Butte Silver Bow Relay for Life will be held the evening of August 2nd with closing ceremonies on the morning of August 3rd at the MAC. There is a team registration discount of $50 until March 31st; $75 until June 1st and $100 after June 1st.

Volunteer Opportunities in Wilderness
Company: Wilderness Institute

The University of Montana Wilderness Institute is recruiting volunteers for 2-5 day backpacking trips into the Anaconda Pintler and Welcome Creek Wildernesses. Volunteers assist experienced field leaders monitor wilderness character, weeds, and recreational impact.

Trips are free and occur throughout July and August. Dinners and transportation are provided.

No experience necessary!
